KAN is the energy, which is represented by the serpent. It is related to Kukulkan or Q’uq’umatz, the feathered serpent, which on a spiritual level symbolizes the energy that transmutes us from the earthly to action, which allows us to elevate to the Kaj (the first sky). Kan is the flight of the Quetzal. Its strength is deposited in the coccyx and it moves through the spine, elevating itself to the brain to activate consciousness. Kan is the power that transmutes knowledge into wisdom, thought into reality. This Ch’umil provokes action; it is connected to one of the Four Rays of Creation, Jun Rakan Kakulja – the ray of the mega spiral of the Universe. Kan is the energetic movement; this means our energy (Kan) and the energy of the Cosmos. Kan is the energetic transmutation which after freeing us allows us to rise to other levels, as far as we want to go (the 13 Skies). It is entering to unknown worlds and dimensions. Even though we know intuitively about these levels, we have the limitation of fear, which halts us from breaking the structures. Activating Kan is an accomplishment we must fight to reach, because the wisdom that this Ch’umil brings is to allow us to see those things that reason prevents us from seeing; it is to unlearn what we have been taught to maintain the structures. When we become aware or we have the determination, we reach that what is called “enlightenment”. But here we are going to unknown grounds, and since we are not connected this brings fear to not doing what is right, to not taking the right path. We have to go within us, there we can remove the limitations, we can break the structures of the mind, society and the system, and we can then reach the purest and more subtle energy. Kan gives us the power, the energy to achieve this, but we must work with determination to reach our Purpose of Life. Our responsibility is to give meaning to our Creation.

1 K’at – Creation to Realization for Cholq’ij New Year
K’AT This Ch’umil represents the ties, the entanglements, everything that traps us, that does not allow us to be free, that limits our spontaneity and our determination. It is called the net. These limitations come from the rules that we have accepted ―some of them completely absurd― which come from our family, our school, the system, or which are created by ourselves. It is in K’at that we must untie the knots of our reality and break the limits that prevent our development. We are so tied up to this reality that we cannot see that everything is an illusion which we can configure. We have learned to configure things the way we see them, and these are a reality of shape, size, weight, and dimension. It is the synaptic creation we human beings have formed, every being that has existed, exists, or will exist. All of this is a great illusion. We are so deeply involved in the system that we do not dare to break this. Magic, vision, healing; they are only believing that you can do it. The important thing is to remember that this is a reality that we create. The elders visualized this thousands of years ago, they defined the energies that affect reality and because of these they gave each day a space, a form; they were observing for thousands of years and they saw which were the energies of the beginning, of the path… K’at is twining, it is catching, but the most important aspect of K’at is that people break and untie the knots; it is realizing that this is knotted and we have to untie the knots to free ourselves.
13 Aq’ab’al – Creation to Realization for Cholq’ij New Year
AQ’AB’AL is the first ray of light in the darkness. Let’s imagine when everything was just space, when there was an emptiness of dark matter. Then a light emerges, breaking monotony. Creation begins to awaken and movement takes place. This is the energy of Aq’ab’al. Aq’ab’al is the dawn, it is the count of the days; the Ch’umil that connects us to the eternal present (past-present-future). It is a step towards the creation of the illusion/reality in that infinite Macro Spiral of the Najt (Space-Time). This goes from the macro to the micro; in the constant expansion of the Universe, in the Chipi Kakulja, the small ray that produces the neural synaptic interconnection. The purpose of this Ch’umil is to allow us to develop that connection, to delineate our own reality according to the cosmic creation. This energy brings a lot of opportunities. It brings unforeseen changes, but it also brings challenges. The light of Aq’ab’al leads us to other places, sometimes unknown, but it always protects us. Within this chain, which is a sequence of Creation, how the energies arrived to create reality, Aq’ab’al opens the opportunity to find light in the darkness, a light that will illuminate our path. Where are we headed? What level do we want to reach? To what dimension do we want to arrive?
12 Iq’ – Creation to Realization for Cholq’ij New Year
IQ’ is the wind; it is the power that this element brings. The wind is the element that nurtures, purifies, and gives strength to the mind and the thoughts. It is the one that increases our ability to direct the mental power. Within the chain of Creation of the twenty Ch’umilal, Iq’ allows us to transcend the limitations of the mind, to transmute our reality, which is a dimensional creation you can access. The work consist of selecting and focusing on your strength (the power consist in confidence, it is knowing that you can do something, not even thinking about it, just knowing it. When you rationalize or meditate on what you are able to do, you block yourself. It is simply to be determined, it’s saying, “I’m going to do something”, and then doing it.) One can guide things, the problem is that we are too rational and we are led by the “cannots”. The work we have to do is to rebuild our reality. Enough with reason, materialism, the system, and the fear to be free. When we are immersed in the material and the mental we cannot perceive Creation, of which we are a part of and which we configure. The system is a coercion that keeps us hemmed, it is a plot that uses our energy and which doesn’t allow us to be free, and that is the struggle, to break the structures. If we become aware of this “miracle” it will reach a point in which we will be able to travel to higher tiers or levels outside of this we call reality, in the way we will connect to the Supra-World. Work with your breathing, with the search of the air and the wind; the wind of the East, West, North, and South, to purify yourself.
11 Imox – Creation to Realization for Cholq’ij New Year
IMOX The importance of this Ch’umil is that its energy brings the seed of the Ixim (maize). Imox is the anagram of Ixim. The Ixim was brought here from another dimension and from it the present humanity was shaped. This entails that in the concatenation of the energies of Creation, this Ch’umil becomes magical, it is the one that breaks the structures, the one that manifests the internal powers such as vision, intuition, dreams. Everything that Ch’umil Tz’ikin provides you, Imox develops. This energy is the one that connects our left side of the body. It is the energy of the left hand, which is the one that connects us to our magical side. This Ch’umil acquires much importance in these times of the Job Ajaw, the new cycle that brings the evolutionary changes and which is the key to the integration of all our powers. It is magic and knowledge fused. It is the new form of reality to which we entered in this new cycle. It is said that Imox is craziness, but this does not mean that one is mentally unbalanced. It is, rather, the strength that allows us to transgress reality and enter to the foundations of our inner knowledge, of our inner powers, of breaking the material structures to make everything become magical and energetic. The inner powers are the twenty senses: the five traditional senses plus intuition, vision, dreams, realization (in the sense of delineating reality), the power to move objects, and all the other senses we have, but which are dormant. It also gives us the power to transform ourselves into our animal of power, our correlative animal. this is called nawalism.
10 Ajpu – Creation to Realization for Cholq’ij New Year
AJPU is the Ch’umil that represents father Sun, the Heart of the Sky, the Creation energy which allows us to develop in every plane of existence. It causes cyclical changes. In the K’atun (a cycle of twenty years) it marks the energies by which humanity is governed, and it also affects the great cycles like the Baktun (5,200 years). Ajpu represents renovation, the new that comes with every dawn. It is also the old, the experiences we have lived, which are represented by the dusk, by the twilight. It is the transition. The wise elders paid a lot of attention to the zero shadow or zenith sun (when the sun in located at the zenith and its light comes down vertically, producing no shadows). That is the mystery of the Ajpu, the secret is that zero point where nothing affects you, because nothing moves you. It is in Ajpu that we must connect, for it gives us clarity and strength, the energies that we need, mostly in these times in which the changes are demanding that certainty, clarity, and the determination of the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energy that we need at this moment in which our purpose of life as integrated human beings is to access a new dimension. To remain trapped in the way of life that we currently have, is to be tied up to the limitation and lack of balance that we have caused. We have to take responsibility, remember that spirituality is a “conscious action”.
9 Kawoq – Creation to Realization for Cholq’ij New Year
KAWOQ – In this sequence of the energies of Creation, this Ch’umil is the one that gives importance to coexistence. Since it represents the family, the community, humanity, we have to realize that the purpose of human beings is to fulfill their own experience, but this should be connected to the evolution of all, for we all are the manifestation of Mother Earth. By now, in this cycle that we are living, there should already be a human level expansion in relation to the cosmic. On December 21, 2012 we entered an era directed to ether, projected to the galactic relation. The glyph for Kawoq (the circles that look like some sort of grape cluster) represents a family, but it is a cosmic family, for everything comes from above to the last circle. Everything comes from the Cosmos to the Earth and from the Earth to the Cosmos. The obstacle we face as a humanity, which was foreseen by the elders, is the thoughtlessness and the influence of the media to which we are subject and which is inducing us to a confrontation that affects the family with a lack of respect, instability, and disorientation. If we extend this to humanity, we can see that nowadays we live in intolerance, racism, and classism. But let’s remember that this is part of the changes that come with this new cycle, and the old socio-economic systems bring this readjustment. Lets seek to join in.
8 Tijax – Creation to Realization for Cholq’ij New Year
TIJAX is the lightning; it is the obsidian knife. The wise grandfathers call it the double-edged blade. This Ch’umil has an important role, for it is the energy in this chain of evolution that breaks the shackles that trap us in each of the four planes of manifestation, beginning with our limitations. To break them we need to focus in our inner being to review and recognize who we are, what entraps us. We cannot lie to our own selves, for if we do, what level are we in? Tijax, then, has the purpose of breaking those structures, it helps us take away the fog that is blinding our vision; it tears the veil. Tijax is deeply related to the Rays of Creation in its physical-material manifestation. It is the one that breaks the bonds that tie us in the four planes. It is the one that takes away the illnesses, the one that heals us. In these times, Tijax frees us from the limitations of reason. This Ch’umil gives sense to freedom. It allows us to engage in a new dimension, where we can access the development of our dormant senses. Magic, which is the technique that allows us to use these energies, is under the auspices of Tijax. We are the ones that set the limits.
7 No’j – Creation to Realization for Cholq’ij New Year
NO’J is knowledge. This essence is important in the chain of creation, for it’s structure creates balance between material reality and magical reality. The challenge we must overcome is what we know as reason, which is both positive and negative. It has its share of knowledge, which frames us within what’s rational, within the part of the thoughts that is looking for logic and reason within the parameters that delineate the social fact. The other knowledge is the one that we deny or which is dormant, that one that connects us to a different reality, the reality of the energies that form what we call reality, which is ultimately the configuration that we all have learned; to give shape, weight, and volume to everything that exists, this is a world of vibrating energies. In the Creative evolution this Ch’umil is of essential importance, for it gives us the opportunity to foray into the magical part that most of us have restrained, limiting then its purpose of life. As an example we can assure that most people have no knowledge of how they are physically formed, they don’t know how many bones or muscles they have, many don’t know how many organs they have or where they are located, least what their function is. Less do we know the importance of the heart and the brain and its hemispheres, and of how to use them to develop the synaptic creative chain of neurons. Let’s take on the task of learning this, this is a good start.
6 Ajmaq – Creation to Realization for Cholq’ij New Year
AJMAQ is by excellence the energy of curiosity. It is the seeker of something that we are lacking. It is what drives us in our search for knowledge, for experiences that will allow us to expand our being, our consciousness, our development, and our merging with the origin. Let’s remember that in the past, because of our haughtiness, seeing ourselves as Gods, our vision was blurred by a fog that prevents us from looking at the Heart of the Sky, at the depths of space. Ajmaq must break through the limits and the structures that halt our evolution. While its essence has the stigma of the sins, it also has forgiveness. It is because of this that it can trap us in problems. It can become rigid and grim. It does not channel the self control, but it becomes dominated by its own rules. The purpose, then, is to return to the inner path and find freedom within ourselves, to break the structures that entrap us. Not living in fear, letting go of self-importance, and becoming non-judgemental brings us closer to freedom, which is a state of consciousness. The search for compassion is the key in the path to Creation. This is what opens the space for us.
