Not long ago I saw a post that shared how, for the first time, the cognitive capacity of the new generation has decreased compared to previous ones, and today, as I sat down to write about the energy of Julajuj No’j, that information came back to me and made me think about what the great Elders always say, that our mind is a powerful tool that was given to us by the Ajaw — and also a powerful teacher in which we often get entangled.

Today let us look at the gift that the mind is, the capacity it gives us to learn, to question, to discern, to reflect and to understand, to change our ways of thinking and of seeing the world thanks to its malleability. When we stop fighting the parts of ourselves that we reject, they stop being a burden and become a source of our strength.

Cuando dejamos de pelear con esas partes de nosotros que rechazamos, dejan de ser una carga para convertirse en parte de nuestra fortaleza.
