Maya people have been known for being the Lords of Time. since ancient times they developed the ability and the techniques for predicting events that affect humanity. These predictions cover great cycles of time. Amongst these cycles are the Baktun. On the famous date of December 21, 2012 we reached the 13 Baktun. According to the prediction of the Maya, this new cycle brings many changes for the evolutionary process of humanity, which will enable us to grow spiritually. Together with the predictions, the Maya left us techniques that will helps us prepare for these times of transition. During this workshop we will talk about the different stages that humanity has lived in its evolutionary process and the importance of having reached the Job Ajaw (Fifth Sun). We will speak of how these changes are affecting us as a planet, as a humanity, on an individual level, and how we can face and grow with these times of changes by using the techniques left by the ancestral Maya.

Carlos Barrios is a Mayan Ajq’ij, who originates from and resides in Guatemala. Carlos is the Coordinator of the Spiritual Reserves of Humanity for Central America and Coordinator of the Water Project for Central America for UNESCO.He has been given the mission by his elders to begin sharing the prophecies and teachings of the Mayan peoples with the rest of the world. Carlos travels internationally to share these teachings and to generate awareness and support for the rescue and preservation of the ancient Mayan tradition in his homeland. He is also the author of “The Book of Destiny”, a book on the cosmology, Cholq’ij calendar and prophecies of the Mayan peoples.
