The Ajmaq trecena invites us to look at life with curiosity and, as it aligns today with the energy of Kab’lajuj Kej, it speaks to us of the love, harmony, and softness with which Mother Earth holds us.

This day invites us to restore our connection with the Earth, to feel her and to approach with curiosity everything that is part of her. Just as our ancestors, who with respect and wonder discovered her medicines, her power, and her wisdom, we too are called to remain connected. Nature is a great healer; she offers us everything we need. She is a great knower, her cycles guide us, and her patience and her love teach us. She has so much to show us if we know how to listen to her, if we open ourselves to her with genuine curiosity and with the intention of understanding her.

This day opens a space for us to experience who we are now, while also recognizing and listening to our ancestral memory.

Feeling the message that comes for the energy of this day, two nuances within this energetic convergence came through. The first is when we recognize Kan as the Ch’umil that drives our energy to its highest expression and moves us to act. When we observe Lajuj as an energy that brings the strength to move toward what we seek, even when part of its teaching is to help us overcome the fear of taking the first step. And Ajmaq, who rules the trecena, as the curiosity, the exploration of life, and the experience of living in joy and presence. This is a day that invites us to open ourselves to living with all our energy, to remind ourselves of enjoyment, to know that it is good to go inward, to observe ourselves and to forgive, as we have been doing these days, but that it is also healing to release through joy, play, and lightness.

The second aspect is when we recognize Kan in its expression as the spiral of life, a manifestation that extends from our DNA to the macro spiral of the universe, our genetic memory and our spiritual knowing. We observe Lajuj as the channel that opens spaces of communication with other planes, and the trecena of Ajmaq as the Ch’umil that carries the strength of our lineage and connects us with our ancestors. Today a powerful space opens to connect with our ancestral wisdom, to recognize the legacy we carry, to forgive the missteps, and to honor our inheritance, remembering that our ancestral story continues healing and growing through us.

Al sentir el mensaje que viene para la energía de este día, me bajaron dos matices de esta confluencia energética. El primero es cuando reconocemos a Kan como el Ch’umil que impulsa nuestra energía a su máxima expresión y nos mueve a actuar. A Lajuj lo observamos como una energía que aporta la fuerza para avanzar hacia lo que buscamos, aun cuando parte de su enseñanza sea superar el temor de dar el primer paso. Y a Ajmaq, que rige la trecena, como la curiosidad, el explorar la vida y vivir en gozo y presencia. Este es un día que nos invita a abrirnos a vivir con toda nuestra energía, a recordarnos del disfrute; que está bien ir hacia adentro, observarnos y perdonar, como hemos venido haciendo estos días, pero también es sanador soltar desde el gozo, desde el juego y desde la liviandad.

Hoy se abre un espacio poderoso para conectar con nuestra sabiduría ancestral, para reconocer qué legado tenemos, perdonar los desaciertos y honrar nuestra herencia, recordando que nuestra historia ancestral sigue sanando y creciendo a través de nosotros.

When we look inward with love, we can understand the reason behind the knots that hold us and untie them instead of forcing them to break.

Today the energies remind us that when something feels difficult or uncomfortable, it is because it is speaking to us and asking us to recognize what needs to shift in our life. Let us observe without fear and with calm, so we can distinguish whether it is the mind that is tangling us up or telling us stories, whether we are carrying things that no longer support us, whether we are truly happy where we are or need to make a change.

Hoy las energías nos recuerdan que cuando algo se siente difícil o incómodo, es porque nos está hablando; nos pide reconocer qué necesita transformarse en nuestra vida. Observemos sin miedo y con calma, para distinguir si es la mente la que nos enreda o nos cuenta historias, si estamos cargando cosas que ya no nos aportan, si realmente somos felices donde estamos o necesitamos hacer un cambio.

Este día nos da la fuerza para romper límites con consciencia, para comprender qué nos quiere mostrar cada situación y qué aprendizaje trae consigo. También nos invita a desanudar nuestros enredos con gratitud y suavidad, tratándonos (y tratando a los demás) con amor, sin juzgar lo que hicimos antes de tener las herramientas, el conocimiento y la experiencia que hoy tenemos, muchas de las cuales surgieron precisamente de esos momentos que ahora creemos errores o decisiones equivocadas.

There are insights that only become clear in the dark; sometimes clarity is not found in plain light.

Darkness is one of the elements that shape the energy of this day. We may have been taught to see darkness and our own shadow as something negative, yet under today’s energy we can recognize its power. Within it are held things as vast as hidden wisdom, deep knowledge, and the secrets of creation. Aq’ab’al reminds us that life is complete because it is not made of light alone. Darkness exists as well and together they create balance, each carrying its own kind of magic.

One of the teachings I received from my father was to learn how to honor darkness. Through his stories, passed from his teachers to him and then to me, I understood that darkness is an important force. It is enough to look at the universe, largely formed by dark matter, or at the night, that moment when we enter the space of dreams and can repair the body and also shape our own reality. With that understanding of the strength held in the depth of darkness, Wajxaqib Aq’ab’al converging with the trecena of Ajmaq invites us to move inward, into the deeper layers of our being. Today we have the possibility for our eyes to see with greater clarity in the dark, to recognize the deep wisdom found in the hidden knowledge within ourselves and within the universe.

Hay sabidurías que solo se distinguen en la oscuridad; a veces la claridad no se encuentra a plena luz.

La oscuridad es uno de los elementos que componen la energía de este día. Puede que se nos haya enseñado a ver la oscuridad y nuestra propia sombra como algo negativo, pero bajo la energía de hoy podemos reconocer su poder. Dentro de ella se guardan cosas tan grandes como la sabiduría oculta, el conocimiento profundo y los secretos de la creación. Aq’ab’al nos recuerda que la vida es completa porque no existe solo la luz, también existe la oscuridad y ambas se equilibran; cada una posee su propia magia.

Una de las enseñanzas que recibí de mi papá fue saber honrar la oscuridad. A través de sus historias, transmitidas de sus maestros hacia él y luego hacia mí, comprendí que la oscuridad es una fuerza importante. Basta observar el universo, formado en gran parte por materia oscura, o la noche, ese momento en el que entramos en el espacio de los sueños y podemos no solo reparar nuestro cuerpo, sino también manifestar nuestra propia realidad. Con esa comprensión de la fuerza que existe en la profundidad de la oscuridad, Wajxaqib’ Aq’ab’al al converger con la trecena de Ajmaq nos invita a ir hacia dentro, a lo profundo de nuestro ser. Hoy tenemos la posibilidad de que nuestros ojos sepan ver con mayor claridad en la oscuridad, que puedan reconocer la sabiduría profunda que se encuentra en esos conocimientos ocultos de nuestro ser y del universo.

This day invites us to remember the power of our voice, the one that rises with strength when we speak from the soul, from what truly moves our being.

This day is guided by the converging energies of Iq’, the spirit of the wind that reminds us to breathe, return to calm, listen to our inner wisdom and awaken the power of our word; of Wuqub’, which not only brings balance and harmony, but also gives us the strength to transcend what limits us and step into new phases of growth; and of the trecena of Ajmaq, which invites us to turn inward and reconnect with our essence.

One of the ways society has limited us is by diminishing the power of our word. We have learned not to say what we feel; the fear of rejection leads us to please others instead of showing ourselves as we are. We grew up believing that speaking a truth could make others uncomfortable and that many times it was easier to say nothing or soften what we feel so as not to disappoint others, and even ourselves when we set aside our inner voice.Today the energies remind us of the importance of truly listening to ourselves and, from that connection with our being, using the power of our word with consciousness. They remind us of the strength that exists in choosing authenticity, in staying faithful to who we are and what we feel, so we can say no without guilt, but also say yes without fear to what we genuinely want.

Nos recuerdan la fuerza que hay en elegir la autenticidad, en mantenernos fieles a lo que somos y sentimos, para así poder decir que no sin culpa, pero también saber decir que sí, sin miedo, a lo que realmente queremos.

Ajpu is one of the energies that gives us the strength to move through many of the tests we find on our path and teaches us to recognize our light and our worth without becoming trapped in the ego. Este día puede ser una oportunidad para reflexionar acerca de la fortaleza que alcanzamos cuando nos permitimos ser vulnerables, no solo con los demás sino con nosotros mismos. There are paths that only open when we stop looking outward and begin to listen to ourselves with honesty.

Not everything we reach in our processes of healing and forgiveness needs to be explained, defended or shared; we are not here to adjust our essence to the expectations of others, but to be faithful to who we are and what we feel. Today the energies remind us that what truly matters is born within, not in external approval, because much of our growth and the understanding of who we are requires silence and space before it can show its light. And although choosing ourselves may sometimes mean creating distance or prioritizing our energy, this apparent act of selfishness is in reality an act of love toward ourselves and toward others, because when we take care of ourselves, when we go inward and nurture what we can later offer to the world, we shine with a light that illuminates not only our own path but also that of our community, of those who walk with us and of all of humanity.

Hay caminos que solo se abren cuando dejamos de mirar hacia afuera y comenzamos a escucharnos con honestidad.

No todo lo que alcanzamos en nuestros procesos de sanación y perdón necesita ser explicado, defendido o compartido; no estamos aquí para adaptar nuestra esencia a expectativas ajenas, sino para ser fieles a lo que somos y sentimos. Hoy las energías nos recuerdan que lo verdaderamente importa nace adentro, no en la aprobación externa, pues mucho de nuestro crecimiento y la comprensión de quiénes somos requiere silencio y espacio antes de mostrar su luz. Y aunque a veces elegirnos implique poner distancia o priorizar nuestra energía, ese aparente “egoísmo” es en realidad un acto de amor hacia nosotros mismos y hacia los demás, porque cuando nos cuidamos, cuando vamos hacia adentro y nutrimos lo que luego podemos ofrecer al mundo, brillamos con una luz que no solo ilumina nuestro sendero, sino también el de nuestra comunidad, el de quienes caminan con nosotros y el de la humanidad entera.
