Our thoughts are the language with which we create our reality.

Our mind is a truly amazing tool. The power of our thoughts has a direct effect on our physical body, and each thought sends signals that make our body release hormones that can contribute to us feeling unwell or to our healing and wellbeing. Our mind is medicine, and it is also creativity; it is the tool with which we speak to the universe, with which we create our reality. And thanks to its plasticity, if we are not using it as a power that supports us, we can always weave new neural connections. Today, in this trecena of gratitude, may we take a moment to recognize and learn from all the wonder that our mind is, to honor it and to give thanks for it.

Nuestros pensamientos son el lenguaje con el que creamos nuestra realidad.

Nuestra mente es una herramienta verdaderamente increíble. Hoy las energías nos invitan a reconocernos en nuestro rol como creadores, a retornar a nuestros sueños y volver a creer que somos capaces de alcanzarlos.

Recordemos que a veces las cosas pueden ser tan simples como enfocarnos en vivir una vida que nos llene, en crear de manera consciente momentos que nos hacen sentir bien; en no olvidar que algo tan sencillo como sonreír puede llenarnos de alegría y positividad; que ir a la naturaleza nos trae calma e inspiración; que el movimiento nos trae resultados; que la quietud nos trae claridad; que la gratitud llena nuestra vida de milagros.

A veces solo debemos recordar que nuestra suerte no surge de la nada, la construimos con cada una de nuestras acciones.

Being grateful for what is part of our life is a way of honoring the life we live.

Yesterday, by coincidence or synchronicity, I came across a very old word, lar, which comes from the Latin Lār or Laris and means a deity or protective spirit of the home. Although today I intended to write about another aspect of Job’ Aj, this synchronicity made me feel that I needed to focus on the gratitude we owe the homes we inhabit in this existence, from Mother Earth and our body to the house that shelters us.

So today I felt like sharing a teaching that has always seemed very beautiful to me and that was once given to me by a Grandmother, a teaching that resonates with that passage from the Popol Wuj that speaks of the people of wood, those who showed no gratitude and whose belongings and homes turned against them. The Nan told me that when you enter a house you can feel at once whether it is cold or welcoming, and that this is where you can see whether people care for the spirit of their home. I found it so beautiful that we can open that connection with the spirit of our house, especially in this trecena of Toj, which is a good moment to remember the importance of giving thanks for every tool that accompanies us in life and for every home we inhabit in this existence.

Agradecer lo que forma parte de nuestra vida es honrar la vida que vivimos.

Ayer, por coincidencia o sincronía, descubrí una palabra muy antigua: lar, que viene del latín Lār o Laris y significa “deidad o espíritu protector del hogar”. Aunque hoy tenía la intención de escribir sobre otro aspecto de Job’ Aj, esta sincronía me hizo sentir que debía enfocar el texto en la gratitud que debemos tener por nuestros hogares en esta existencia, desde la Madre Tierra y nuestro cuerpo hasta la casa que nos da resguardo.

Así que hoy sentí compartir una enseñanza que siempre me ha parecido muy hermosa y que alguna vez me dio una Abuela, una enseñanza que coincide con ese pasaje del Popol Wuj que habla de la humanidad de madera, aquella que no mostraba gratitud y cuyos objetos y casas se volvieron contra ellos. La Nan me decía que cuando uno entra en una casa se siente de inmediato si es fría o acogedora, y que ahí es donde uno puede ver si las personas cuidan al espíritu de su hogar. Me pareció algo tan lindo que podamos abrir esa conexión con el espíritu de nuestra casa, especialmente en esta trecena de Toj, que es un buen momento para recordar la importancia de agradecer cada herramienta que nos acompaña en la vida y cada hogar que habitamos en esta existencia.

The universe and life form a magical weave, and each one of us is a thread that gives it color.

We were created in harmony and in connection with the whole; we are a thread in the fabric of existence, connected to the earth, the universe, and every living being.

Todos venimos a este plano a desarrollarnos y gran parte de ese desarrollo surge de las situaciones que vivimos, de la familia en la que crecemos, de las sombras que nos componen y de eso que podríamos percibir como pagos, pero hoy las energías nos recuerdan que estas experiencias no llegan para que paguemos, están aquí para mostrarnos lo que aún necesitamos transformar, para que podamos trascender nuestros límites y tener ese impulso de convertirnos en ese maravilloso ser que somos. Así que abracemos nuestra experiencia de vida y demos gracias al universo porque nos regala todas las circunstancias perfectas y necesarias para nuestro crecimiento. The energy of Toj reminds us that gratitude is a sacred act, that giving thanks for life, for the paths we have walked, for the opportunities, and for the lessons learned generates a force capable of creating miracles. In this trecena, Ajaw Toj invites us to vibrate in the magic of gratitude. During these thirteen days let us make giving thanks a conscious act.

The Ajmaq trecena invites us to look at life with curiosity and, as it aligns today with the energy of Kab’lajuj Kej, it speaks to us of the love, harmony, and softness with which Mother Earth holds us.

This day invites us to restore our connection with the Earth, to feel her and to approach with curiosity everything that is part of her. Just as our ancestors, who with respect and wonder discovered her medicines, her power, and her wisdom, we too are called to remain connected. Nature is a great healer; she offers us everything we need. She is a great knower, her cycles guide us, and her patience and her love teach us. She has so much to show us if we know how to listen to her, if we open ourselves to her with genuine curiosity and with the intention of understanding her.

No estamos separados de la Tierra, somos parte de ella; en ella reside nuestra memoria y sabiduría.

If we knew that the ancestors remain at our side, guiding our steps, what would we do differently? Let us remember that we do not walk through life without the support of our lineage.

The energetic convergence today speaks to us deeply about our lineage and the work we carry out together. It reminds us that the family we are born into gives us many of the gifts, the strength, and the wisdom we need to walk our life mission, and that even the traumas we share as a lineage are part of the tools we inherit. We should not see them only as shadow, because they also hold strength and growth.

This is a day to honor our ancestors, to thank them for the lives they lived and the wisdom they passed on to us, for the path we walk together. Let us open our hearts to feel them and listen to them; we can visualize them gathered behind us, supporting and guiding us, accompanying us now that we are the ones continuing the work of the lineage in this physical plane. And even if they now dwell in another dimension, their presence remains close, supporting our path with love. This visualization helps us remember it, feel it, and hold the certainty within that this bond transcends the physical.

La confluencia energética de hoy nos habla profundamente de nuestro linaje y del trabajo que realizamos junto a él. This day opens a space for us to experience who we are now, while also recognizing and listening to our ancestral memory.

Feeling the message that comes for the energy of this day, two nuances within this energetic convergence came through. The first is when we recognize Kan as the Ch’umil that drives our energy to its highest expression and moves us to act. When we observe Lajuj as an energy that brings the strength to move toward what we seek, even when part of its teaching is to help us overcome the fear of taking the first step. And Ajmaq, who rules the trecena, as the curiosity, the exploration of life, and the experience of living in joy and presence. This is a day that invites us to open ourselves to living with all our energy, to remind ourselves of enjoyment, to know that it is good to go inward, to observe ourselves and to forgive, as we have been doing these days, but that it is also healing to release through joy, play, and lightness.

The second aspect is when we recognize Kan in its expression as the spiral of life, a manifestation that extends from our DNA to the macro spiral of the universe, our genetic memory and our spiritual knowing. We observe Lajuj as the channel that opens spaces of communication with other planes, and the trecena of Ajmaq as the Ch’umil that carries the strength of our lineage and connects us with our ancestors. Today a powerful space opens to connect with our ancestral wisdom, to recognize the legacy we carry, to forgive the missteps, and to honor our inheritance, remembering that our ancestral story continues healing and growing through us.

Este día nos abre un espacio para vivenciar lo que somos ahora, pero también para reconocer y escuchar nuestra memoria ancestral.

Al sentir el mensaje que viene para la energía de este día, me bajaron dos matices de esta confluencia energética. El primero es cuando reconocemos a Kan como el Ch’umil que impulsa nuestra energía a su máxima expresión y nos mueve a actuar. A Lajuj lo observamos como una energía que aporta la fuerza para avanzar hacia lo que buscamos, aun cuando parte de su enseñanza sea superar el temor de dar el primer paso. Y a Ajmaq, que rige la trecena, como la curiosidad, el explorar la vida y vivir en gozo y presencia. Este es un día que nos invita a abrirnos a vivir con toda nuestra energía, a recordarnos del disfrute; que está bien ir hacia adentro, observarnos y perdonar, como hemos venido haciendo estos días, pero también es sanador soltar desde el gozo, desde el juego y desde la liviandad.

El segundo aspecto es cuando reconocemos a Kan en su expresión como la espiral de la vida, una manifestación que va desde nuestro ADN hasta la macroespiral del universo; es nuestra memoria genética y nuestro saber espiritual. Hoy se abre un espacio poderoso para conectar con nuestra sabiduría ancestral, para reconocer qué legado tenemos, perdonar los desaciertos y honrar nuestra herencia, recordando que nuestra historia ancestral sigue sanando y creciendo a través de nosotros.
