Ancestors of ours, with your whitened spirits you stand before the Heart of the Sky and the Heart of Mother Earth. I ask you not to leave me, not to forsake me, not to abandon me, and not to forget me; to watch over my path, over my acts and over my work. Grant me fortitude; grant me strength, so that I am not weakened in my mission, in my Chak Patan. I will always serve you and honor you with candles, so that you will rejoice with their scent in the Heart of the Sky. Pure spirit, I ask you to guide my path so that I am not mistaken in my journey over the face of this Earth; through the four cardinal points. You elders; parents, grandparents, great grandparents, great-great grandparents of my genealogy, of the lineage of my ancestors, receive this offering that I give you. I know that where you are there is no hunger or thirst, because you are with the Ajaw, Heart of the Sky and Heart of Mother Earth. Tijax, through its double-edged obsidian, knife has the power of healing and harmonizing any of the four bodies ―mental, spiritual, emotional and physical―; it is the Ch’umil of the healers. Ajmaq is the day to remember our ancestors, to ask for the souls of our grandmothers and grandfathers; it symbolizes our past, which began with the first peoples of the world, Ajmaq is our ancestral wisdom. Number 10 connects us to the cosmic and telluric energies. This is a good day to light a purple candle to the spirit of your ancestors.

This is a day of good luck, love and joy. Tz’ikin, the bird, represents liberty and fortune. Number 9 symbolizes the emotional, intuitive and artistic energies. During this day allow your soul to spread its wings and enjoy life; listen to the singing of the birds and connect through it with the Creator and Maker to thank Him for a new day of life.

I’x is the day of the feminine energy; it represents the mother, the daughter, the wife, and Mother Earth. Today it converges with Number 8 that symbolizes the masculine energy. During this day you have the feminine intuition of I’x and the masculine strength of Number 8, use this powers to overcome the forces that may be delaying your evolution.

Aj symbolizes the cane, the cornstalk, the sacred staff; it is the pillar that connects the cosmic and telluric energies, the posts that hold up a house, the pillars of strength. Number 7 represents equilibrium and harmony. This is a good day to connect with the energy of the house; to renew it, to energize it and to thank it for being a shelter and sanctuary you and your family. E symbolizes the path of destiny; it is the energy of action that moves us toward our precise objectives and our realization. Number 6 represents trials and conflicts. Even so, and no matter how difficult the journey, don’t become discouraged or lose sight of your final destination and don’t allow any obstacles to stop you.

B’atz’ represents the thread of time that unfolds before us and weaves our histories, according to the Maya our history is woven from time, just as clothing is made from woven threads. Number 5 symbolizes magnetism and luck.
