Que los dones que llevamos dentro no se queden dormidos, tengamos el valor para activarlos y usarlos.

We have great power, the question is are we using it?

We are moving through a trecena that, with each day that arises, reminds us of the great power and wisdom we possess. Everything contains magic, it only depends on how we look at it.

Keb’ Tz’ikin is an energy that speaks to us of the freedom that is born when we expand our view. It is the bird that in flight finds a broader vision of life, a vision that gives him freedom, from which he can embrace all that is, with its lights and shadows, and recognize the beauty of the whole landscape.

Today a new cycle of thirteen days begins, guided by the wisdom of I’x, the Ch’umil that opens the space to high magic, creativity, and feminine energy.

One of the powers of feminine energy is its ability to receive. I’x reminds us that when we walk our path believing that good things will not come to us and that we must settle for that, if we are frustrated with what we do or with the life we live, we lose the opportunity to appreciate what comes to us in every aspect of our existence. When we are open to receiving a compliment, help, recognition for our work, our being opens itself to receive. In that moment, not only material things come, but we also connect with our power and with each of our gifts. It is in that instant that we open ourselves to receiving our magic.

May our work during these thirteen days focus on opening ourselves to receive the good things that come to us and on being aware of when we are not in a receptive state, when we are rejecting the gifts of existence.

During the past thirteen days we worked on perceiving what surrounds us, on connecting with our body and our feelings, and on recognizing the gifts we have. Hoy comienza un nuevo ciclo de trece días guiado por la sabiduría de I’x, el Ch’umil que abre el espacio a la alta magia, la creatividad y la energía femenina.

Uno de los poderes de la energía femenina es su capacidad de recibir. I’x nos recuerda que cuando recorremos nuestro camino creyendo que las cosas buenas no vendrán a nosotros y que debemos conformarnos con eso, si estamos frustrados con lo que hacemos o con la vida que llevamos, perdemos la oportunidad de apreciar lo que sí llega a nosotros en cada aspecto de nuestra existencia. Cuando estamos abiertos para recibir un cumplido, ayuda, el reconocimiento por nuestro trabajo, nuestro ser se abre a recibir. En ese momento no solo llegan cosas materiales, sino que también nos conectamos con nuestro poder y con cada uno de nuestros dones. Es en ese instante cuando nos abrimos a recibir nuestra magia.

Que nuestro trabajo durante estos trece días se enfoque en abrirnos a recibir las cosas buenas que llegan a nosotros y en ser conscientes cuando no estamos en un estado receptivo, cuando estamos rechazando los regalos de la existencia.

En los trece días pasados estuvimos trabajando en percibir lo que nos rodea, en conectar con nuestro cuerpo y con nuestro sentir y reconocer los dones que tenemos, permitamos ahora que estos días de I’x los despierten por completo. Esta energía nos vuelve a recordar que la magia es una capacidad natural que se activa cuando estamos presentes, cuando volvemos a nosotros, cuando nos escuchamos y nos atrevemos a ser. Cuando creemos plenamente en nuestro ser y en nuestros dones, estos comienzan a manifestarse.

Transformation does not arise from hardening ourselves, but from allowing ourselves to feel, even when life puts us to the test.

The energy of Ajaw Aj holds within its wisdom the capacity we have to grow from what we have, doing the best we can with it. Today it converges with the Imox trecena, which has been speaking to us over these days about learning how to feel.

Today I was thinking about the idea of resilience, a word that speaks to our capacity to adapt in the face of adversity, and I remembered a passage from the Popol Wuj in which Jun Ajpu and Xb’alamke plant a cane in the yard of the house as a sign that, during the trials they were going through in Xib’alb’a, they were still alive. This cane dries up and later turns green again, symbolizing their death and their transformation when they ascend to the sky to become the Sun and the Moon.

As I reflected on the energetic convergence of this day and on this story, on the way the Popol Wuj narrates the sufferings they lived through in Xib’alb’a, I reflected on resilience and on how powerful our capacity to adapt can be, but also on the importance of ensuring that being resilient does not become a way of stopping ourselves from feeling what we are going through, that it does not become a way of avoiding pain, sadness, or those more difficult emotions, because our truth and our growth are born from feeling all that we are, what is most beautiful and also what is more complex.

La transformación no nace de endurecernos, sino de permitirnos sentir incluso cuando la vida nos pone a prueba.

La energía de Ajaw Aj contiene en su sabiduría la capacidad que tenemos de crecer desde lo que tenemos, haciendo lo mejor posible con ello. Hoy converge con la trecena de Imox, que nos ha venido hablando durante estos días de aprender a sentir.

Hoy pensaba en la idea de la resiliencia, una palabra que nos habla de nuestra capacidad de adaptarnos frente a lo adverso, y recordaba un pasaje del Popol Wuj en el que Jun Ajpu e Xb’alamke siembran una caña en el patio de la casa como señal de que durante las pruebas que atravesaban en Xib’alb’a seguían con vida. Esta caña se seca y luego reverdece, simbolizando su muerte y su transformación cuando ascienden al cielo para convertirse en el Sol y la Luna.

Al pensar en la convergencia energética de este día y en esta historia, en la forma en que el Popol Wuj narra los sufrimientos que vivieron en Xib’alb’a, reflexionaba sobre la resiliencia y sobre lo poderosa que puede ser nuestra capacidad de adaptarnos, pero también sobre la importancia de que ser resilientes no se convierta en una forma de dejar de sentir lo que estamos atravesando, que no sea una manera de evadir el dolor, la tristeza o esas emociones más duras, porque nuestra verdad y nuestro crecimiento nacen de sentir todo lo que somos, lo más hermoso y también aquello que resulta más complejo.

What if we do not need to wait until we have full clarity in order to begin, but simply need to take that first step?

In some way, this Imox trecena is teaching us to trust, to step out of our heads a little and to feel with our whole being, to flow with what is opening and manifesting. Today, as its energy meets that of Kab’lajuj E, a message arises that invites us to look at what truly needs to be born first for us, whether it is the path or the walking. Surely our more mental side would like the security of having a completely mapped out path before beginning to walk it, but today the energies remind us of the importance of listening more deeply to our being, of feeling where we need to go and daring to take that first step, for it is there that the path begins to be created. As the poem by Antonio Machado says, “there is no path, the path is made by walking,” and if our being is urging us to do something, it is because it is time to move with trust, knowing that it is our walking, our actions, that open the paths we are called to walk.

¿Y si no necesitamos tener todo claro para empezar, sino solo atrevernos a dar el primer paso?

De alguna manera esta trecena de Imox nos está enseñando a confiar, a salir un poco de la cabeza y a sentir con todo nuestro ser, a fluir con lo que se va abriendo y manifestando. Hoy, que su energía se encuentra con la de Kab’lajuj E, surge un mensaje que nos invita a mirar qué es lo que realmente necesita nacer primero para nosotros, si es el camino o es el caminar. Seguro que nuestra parte más mental quisiera la seguridad de tener un camino completamente trazado antes de empezar a caminarlo, pero hoy las energías nos recuerdan la importancia de escuchar más a nuestro ser, de sentir hacia dónde debemos ir y atrevernos a dar ese primer paso, pues es ahí donde el camino comienza a crearse. Como dice el poema de Antonio Machado, “no hay camino, se hace camino al andar”, y si nuestro ser nos impulsa a hacer algo, es porque es momento de movernos con confianza, sabiendo que es nuestro andar, nuestro accionar, lo que va abriendo los caminos que estamos llamados a transitar.

Allowing ourselves to feel is more healing than trying to always be well.

And what if we allow ourselves to feel all of our feelings? Today the energies remind us of the importance of not entering a state of numbness and of recognizing that trying to control, to be perfect, or to always be well can disconnect us from our being, so let us allow ourselves the humility of vulnerability, knowing that we cannot turn off certain emotions without this having an effect on our whole being, since all the colors and forms that weave our existence are necessary. A teacher once told me that laughter and crying are two aspects of the same thing, and in this way we are a whole in which every process and every feeling is necessary, not only to connect with our being and our essence, but also to heal, for we cannot heal what we do not allow ourselves to feel.

Permitírnos sentir es más sanador que intentar estar siempre bien.

¿Y si nos permitimos sentir todos nuestros sentimientos? Hoy las energías nos recuerdan la importancia de no entrar en un estado de adormecimiento y de ser conscientes de que el tratar de controlar, de ser perfectos o de estar siempre bien puede desconectarnos de nuestro ser, por eso permitámonos la humildad de la vulnerabilidad, sabiendo que no podemos apagar ciertas emociones sin que esto tenga un efecto en nuestro ser integral, pues todos los colores y las formas que tejen nuestra existencia son necesarios. Me decía un maestro que la risa y el llanto son dos aspectos de una misma cosa, y así somos un todo en el que cada proceso y cada sentir es necesario, no solo para conectar con nuestro ser y nuestra esencia, sino también para sanar, porque no podemos sanar aquello que no nos permitimos sentir.
