Number 4 means balance; it represents the four elements, the four cardinal points and the four races. Toj is a special day in which to thank the Creator and Maker with an offering. Thank him for all that you are and everything that you have; thank him for the balance and serenity he has gave you to face the challenges of life, and for all the life that still lies ahead of you. Light a candle to the Great Father as a sign of gratitude.
Following the footsteps of her family, Denise started her spiritual path at the age of 15, when she began traveling frequently to the highlands in her home of Guatemala to learn about Maya culture from the elders. She is the author of the book "The Energies of the Day" which is a daily guide to the energies of the Sacred Cholq'ij Calendar.
