There is a good star that guides our path, but each step we take to bring it into reality is our responsibility.
On this day I woke up thinking about the good fortune it was to share life with my father, Tat Carlos Barrios, and to have the opportunity to learn directly from him in everyday conversations, in daily life, walking alongside him for almost 30 years supporting his work and his path as an Ajq’ij. I suppose this came to me today because it is a Tz’ikin day, he was Jun Tz’ikin, and I was remembering what we would talk about regarding our Ch’umil, I am also Tz’ikin. He always said that Tz’ikin is deeply connected to the energy of the Sun, as an intermediary of Uk’u’ux Kaj, the Heart of the Sky, an energy that can guide us, give us light, and open paths to reach what we need, and today this emerges more strongly with the energy of the Sun that Kajib’ brings and the paths to connect with the Saq’ B’e that the trecena of E opens.
As Tz’ikin, my father would tell me, it is important not to rely only on good fortune and stop doing our part. The fortune of Tz’ikin is not only about receiving, it is the convergence between that guidance and support that comes from Uk’u’ux Kaj and what we do with it, you have that star that guides you and brings you fortune, but what you create depends on your action. I believe that today the energies remind us that we all have good fortune, the universe conspires in our favor, but we have to act, it is not enough to think about it or wish for it, we have to do it. As my father would say, the key word of these times is ACTION. May this be a day in which we are filled with and connect to that good fortune and each of us brings it into our reality.

En este día amanecí pensando en la buena fortuna que fue compartir la vida con mi papá, Tat Carlos Barrios, y tener la oportunidad de aprender directamente de él en conversaciones cotidianas, en el día a día, acompañándolo por casi 30 años apoyando su trabajo y su camino como Ajq’ij. Supongo que esto me vino hoy por ser un día Tz’ikin (él era Jun Tz’ikin) y por recordar lo que hablábamos sobre nuestro Ch’umil (yo también soy Tz’ikin). Él siempre decía que Tz’ikin está profundamente conectado con la energía del Sol, como un intermediario de Uk’u’ux Kaj, el Corazón del Cielo, una energía que puede orientarnos, darnos luz y abrir caminos para alcanzar lo que necesitamos, y hoy esto emerge con más fuerza con la energía del Sol que trae Kajib’ y los caminos para conectarnos con el Saq’ B’e que abre la trecena de E.
Como Tz’ikin, me decía mi papá, es importante no confiarse solo en la buena suerte y dejar de hacer nuestra parte. La fortuna de Tz’ikin no es solo recibir, es la convergencia entre esa guía y ayuda que viene de Uk’u’ux Kaj y lo que nosotros hacemos con ella, tienes esa estrella que te orienta y te da fortuna, pero lo que creas depende de tu acción. Creo que hoy las energías nos recuerdan que todos tenemos buena fortuna, el universo conspira a nuestro favor, pero nos toca accionar, no basta con pensarlo o desearlo, hay que hacerlo. Como decía mi papá, la palabra clave de estos tiempos es ACCIÓN. Que este sea un día en que nos llenemos y conectemos con esa buena fortuna y que cada quien la convierta en su realidad.
