We have a precious thread with which to weave our lives: time.
The ancestral elders understood that time was sacred, and they created a calendar to relate to it, not as a resource to produce, schedule, fill, and rush from one thing to another, but as something to be honored and valued.
Today, I would like to reflect on how we use our time. So often, we live as though it were infinite and put off the things that truly matter to us. How much of our time do we devote to living our purpose, to creating, sharing, experiencing, and enjoying?
Let us not wait for something to remind us that life in this world is finite before we begin to value the time we have here.
Tenemos un hilo muy valioso para tejer nuestra vida: el tiempo.
Los abuelos ancestrales comprendieron que el tiempo era sagrado y crearon un calendario para relacionarnos con él, no como un recurso para producir, agendar, llenar y correr de un lado a otro, sino como algo que debemos honrar y valorar.
Hoy quisiera reflexionar sobre cómo usamos nuestro tiempo. Muchas veces vivimos como si este fuera infinito y dejamos para después las cosas que realmente nos importan. ¿Cuánto de nuestro tiempo dedicamos a vivir nuestro propósito, a crear, a compartir, a experimentar y disfrutar?
No esperemos a que algo nos recuerde que la vida en este mundo es finita para empezar a valorar el tiempo que tenemos aquí.
