KEB’ AJMAQ ~ Today’s Ch’umil

The elders used to say that Ajmaq is accompanied by two very powerful energies, forgiveness and curiosity.

When we speak of forgiveness, we must remember that true forgiveness comes from the heart. We must also recognize that the greatest harm is suffered by the one who cannot forgive, because if we do not learn to forgive, we take on a double burden. We carry the offense that was committed against us and we also hold on to resentment, anger and even the desire for revenge. In doing so, we end up losing our integrity, and often we stop moving forward in life and in our growth as human and spiritual beings.

Curiosity, on the other hand, invites us to look beyond what is conventional and what has already been established. It is a search that begins with questions about the unknown and leads us to answers from a magical-energetic world, where the very terms of what we define as “reality” begin to change.

Exploring the mystery, facing what limits us, discovering our hidden powers and freeing ourselves from unresolved matters with life and with others brings us closer to wholeness.

Los abuelos decían que Ajmaq viene acompañado de dos energías muy fuertes, una es el perdón y la otra la curiosidad.

Cuando hablamos de perdón, hay que recordar que solo se perdona con el corazón y reconocer que el mayor daño lo sufre quien no perdona, pues si no aprendemos a perdonar nos toca una doble tarea, hacemos nuestra la ofensa de la que fuimos víctimas y además guardamos rencor, ira e incluso el deseo de venganza. Así nos toca vivir, perdiendo nuestra integridad, y muchas veces dejamos de avanzar en la vida, en nuestro desarrollo como seres humanos y como seres espirituales.

En cuanto a la curiosidad, esta tiene el propósito de buscar más allá de lo convencional, de lo establecido. Es una búsqueda que inicia con preguntas sobre lo desconocido y que nos da respuestas de un mundo mágico-energético en el que cambian los términos de lo que definimos como “realidad”.

Explorar el misterio, enfrentar lo que nos limita y descubrir nuestros poderes ocultos, liberarnos de los pendientes con la vida y con los demás, nos acerca a la plenitud.
