WAJXAQIB’ B’ATZ’ ~ Cholq’ij New Year!!!
Today we celebrate the beginning of a new cycle of 260 days of the Sacred Cholq’ij Calendar. In the day Jun (1) B’atz’ we began a period of twenty days of creation, during which each of the energies gave form to this reality and we were able to connect and receive in our being the power of each one of them. Today we arrive again to a day B’atz’. It is said that this Ch’umil is the time that weaves our history, it is the skein of thread that is wound with the passing of the days, and on this day we celebrate that this thread of time begins a new turn. Today we light our Sacred Fire, we gather around it in a circle of union, of connection with the Cosmos and Mother Earth, with our inner being. We invoke the twenty Ch’umilal in their thirteen manifestations, we thank that their cosmic and telluric energy guides with their power, strength, and wisdom each of the days of the cycle that begins today. Today we invoke and thank the wise grandfathers and grandmothers who left us their legacy and transmit us their knowledge, those great men and women who preceded us and who now guide us from another plane so that we find our way in sacred connection and harmony with the Cosmos and Mother Earth. We thank Chuchqajaw, Mother and Father of the Universe, we thank the Creator, Maker, Doer, and Giver of Life; B’itol, Tz’aqol, Alom, K’ajolom. We give thanks to the guardian energies of the four directions, the great grandfathers and grandmothers B’alam Ki’tze’ and Kaja Paluna, B’alam Aq’ab’ and Chomija, Majuk’utaj B’alam and Tz’ununija’, and Ik’i B’alam’ and Kaqixaja’. We thank each of the divine manifestations, we thank Mother Earth and the Universe for all that they give us. On this day we ask for protection and wisdom in our journey through this cycle that begins, we ask in the individual, in the family, and in the community, as humanity. Happy Wajxaqib’ (8) B’atz’, may these 260 days be full of new knowledge, may new roads towards realization, harmony, and freedom open, sacred paths that bring us abundance and balance in each of the planes of existence. May the Sacred and transmuting Fire that we light today, also ignites our inner light so that it may guide us towards the expansion of our consciousness and our being.

Hoy celebramos el comienzo de un nuevo ciclo de 260 días del Calendario Sagrado Cholq’ij. Desde el día Jun (1) B’atz’ iniciamos un período de veinte días de creación, en el que cada una de las energías dio forma a esta realidad y durante el cual pudimos conectarnos y recibir en nuestro ser el poder de cada una de ellas. Hoy arribamos de nuevo a un día B’atz’, se dice que este Ch’umil es el tiempo que teje nuestra historia, es la madeja de hilo que se enrolla con el transcurrir de los días, y en este día celebramos que este hilo de tiempo inicia una nueva vuelta. Hoy encendemos nuestro Fuego Sagrado, nos reunimos a su alrededor en un circulo de unión, de conexión con el Cosmos y la Madre Tierra, de conexión con nuestro ser interior. Invocamos a los veinte Ch’umilal en sus trece manifestaciones, agradecemos que su energía cósmica y telúrica guía con su poder, fuerza y sabiduría cada uno de los días del ciclo que hoy inicia. Hoy invocamos y agradecemos a los abuelos y abuelas sabios que nos dejan su legado y nos transmiten su saber, esos grandes hombres y mujeres que nos precedieron y que ahora nos guían desde otro plano para que encontremos nuestro camino en sagrada conexión y armonía con el Cosmos y la Madre Tierra. Agradecemos a Chuchqajaw, Madre y Padre del Universo, al Creador, Formador, Hacedor y Dador de Vida; B’itol, Tz’aqol, Alom, K’ajolom. Damos gracias a las energías protectoras de las cuatro direcciónes, los grandes abuelos y abuelas B’alam Ki’tze’ y Kaja Paluna, B’alam Aq’ab’ y Chomija, Majuk’utaj B’alam y Tz’ununija’ e Ik’i B’alam’ y Kaqixaja’. Agradecemos a cada una de las manifestaciones divinas, a la Madre Tierra y el Universo por todo lo que nos brindan. En este día pedimos protección y sabiduría en nuestro transitar por este ciclo que inicia, pedimos en lo individual, en lo familiar y en lo comunitario, como humanidad. Feliz Wajxaqib’ (8) B’atz’, que estos 260 días estén llenos de nuevos saberes, que se abran nuevos caminos hacia la realización, la armonía y la libertad, senderos sagrados que nos traigan abundancia y equilibrio en cada uno de los planos de existencia, que el Fuego Sagrado y transmutador que hoy encendemos, encienda también nuestra luz interior para que esta nos guíe hacia la expansión de nuestra consciencia y nuestro ser.
