JUN B’ATZ’ ~ Today’s Ch’umil
Under the star of Jun (1) B’atz’ a twenty-day cycle of creation begins.
The book of the Chilam B’alam of Chumayel (the name of this book originates from the fact that it was written in the Mayan city of Chumayel, in Yucatan, Mexico) narrates that the creation of the universe took place in twenty days, during which each one of the energies arrived to this reality to bring their characteristics, power, and wisdom.
During the next 20 days we will receive the cosmic and telluric forces that emerge from each Ch’umil. The importance of this time, which precedes the Wajxaqib’ B’atz’ (Maya Cholq’ij New Year), is that it opens a strong space of connection with each one of the energies that is transmitting its power and wisdom, granting us all that we need to fulfill our purpose in the 260-day cycle that is about to begin.
Our connection during these days is essential, so let us open ourselves to receive the gift of each Ch’umil and let us also pay special attention to what happens to us and to the messages that we receive and which guide us.
JUN (1) B’ATZ’
Let us remember that the energy that emerges with each Ch’umil is not only vibrating around and within us, but the calendar also brings it to us as a reminder of the qualities and powers that are an innate part of our being and which we are to explore. Each of the energies are our tools to develop and grow in our walk through this reality, and today, which is the first day of creation, B’atz’ brings a teaching of the power and healing that emerges from love. It speaks to us of the importance that lies in being able to perceive life with wonder, allowing ourselves to be joyful and playful, experiencing our curiosity and our creativity.
B’atz’ also symbolizes the threads that unravel in space to create this reality. It is said that B’atz’ is the thread of time that weaves our existence, it is the creation of our sacred story which is connected to the weaving of life, as we are all individual threads that connects to give form the tapestry of reality.

El libro del Chilam B’alam de Chumayel (el nombre de este libro surge por haber sido escrito en la ciudad Maya de Chumayel en Yucatán, México) cuenta que la creación del universo se llevo a cabo en veinte días, durante los cuales cada una de las energías fueron arribando a esta realidad para traer sus características, poder y sabiduría.
Durante los próximos 20 días recibiremos las fuerzas cósmicas y telúricas que vienen con cada Ch’umil. La importancia de este momento previo al Wajxaqib’ B’atz’ (año nuevo Maya Cholq’ij) es que se abre un fuerte espacio de conexión con cada una de energías que nos transmiten su poder y sabiduría, otorgándonos todo aquello que necesitamos para realizar nuestro propósito en el ciclo de 260 días que está por iniciar.

Cada una de las energías son nuestras herramientas para desarrollarnos y crecer en nuestro caminar por esta realidad, y hoy, que es el primer día de la creación, B’atz’ nos trae una enseñanza que habla del poder y la sanación que surgen del amor. Nos transmite la importancia que tiene el saber percibir la vida con asombro, permitiéndonos ser alegres y disfrutar, experimentando nuestra curiosidad y nuestra creatividad.
B’atz’ también simboliza los hilos que se desenvuelven en el espacio para crear esta realidad. Se dice que B’atz’ es el hilo del tiempo que teje nuestra existencia, es la creación de nuestra historia sagrada que está conectada al tejido de la vida, pues todos somos hilos individuales que se conectan para dar forma al tejido de la realidad.
