Toj is the ceremonial fire that is lit to give thanks for everything we have received, for our life. Number 9 represents the cycle of life, it is everything we have received and will receive throughout existence. This is a day for gratefulness, to thank the Creator and the Maker for all you have experienced, for what you are. Light a red candle to elevate your prayers of gratefulness.
Following the footsteps of her family, Denise started her spiritual path at the age of 15, when she began traveling frequently to the highlands in her home of Guatemala to learn about Maya culture from the elders. She is the author of the book "The Energies of the Day" which is a daily guide to the energies of the Sacred Cholq'ij Calendar.
