3 Kame – Creation to Realization for Cholq’ij New Year

Nawal KemeKAME is known as “death”. People have given more importance to the physical death, the moment in which our consciousness or our soul leave our body. We have been taught that physical death is the end of our being, and according to each tradition the spirit has a different destiny. The elders teach us that we change of dimension in a more subtle level. Kame, however, is not only related to the physical death, it is also the changes we have when we overcome emotional states. In a rational sense, it is when we change ways of thinking that limit us. In the spiritual sense, it is when we free ourselves from dogmatism and punishing beliefs, to take a path that leads us to coming closer to the divine essence, to the encounter with our inner being. Kame marks the cycles of our life. It is the one to open and close them. Cycles such as work and sentimental relationships. It is the one to close the cycle of being immersed in systems that only limit us. This Ch’umil brings us closer to the ancestors that have passed and who are now in other dimensions. It is the one that opens the space with the grandfathers and grandmothers who are considered beings of complete wisdom. When we open the connection with these entities, we will have the best guidance for what we need to do. They are considered minor divinities that are in charge of human beings. Being connected and asking for their guidance makes our life easier. In the concatenation of the Ch’umilal that generated Creation, Kame is the challenge to overcome; it is the one that gives us certainty and strength to face the changes. It is leaving behind the being that we have been to begin a cycle of the new being that has all the consciousness and potential we have as humans. It is the teacher that teaches us through accidents, challenges, and everything we call suffering, but all of this is to guide us to our purpose. Kame connects us to the memory of previous existences. It allows us to access the records of everything that exists, of every memory and thought that has existed, exists, or will exist. It is the key to understanding how and why we are at this level, and how to take the reins of our life. Kame gives us the certainty.
