2 AJPU ~ Today’s Ch’umil
The wisdom contained by the energies of this day teaches us about duality. The wise Mayan grandfathers and grandmothers transmitted to us that the manifestation of this reality is dual, for it is in the polarity that we find the balance of life. The Ch’umil and Number that rule over this day both possess the wisdom of duality within them and today their convergence teaches us that the opposing energies are interconnected, that there is always a little of one in the other, as this is part of the equilibrium of life, of the harmony of existence. Today we can easily access the teachings of Ajaw Ajpu who represents the power of Jun Ajpu and Xb’alamke, the mythical twins who traveled to Xib’alba to meet the shadow and the light. The Pop Wuj narrates the stories of these prodigious twins who managed to become integrated, achieve liberation, and realize themselves as complete beings through overcoming the trials of the lords of Xib’alb’a. Let us remember that Xib’alb’a is not a hell, it is rather a space that allows the balance between polarities and drives us towards our development. This day tells us that we must work on our polarity. 2 Ajpu gives us the strength and light we need to illuminate the most unexplored parts of our being in order to integrate them and become a harmonious whole. This Ch’umil connects us with the wisdom of Jun Ajpu e Xb’alamke so that we can obtain the knowledge that helps us overcome the tests that arise in our path in order to liberate ourselves and become complete human beings.
La sabiduría contenida por las energías de este día nos enseña acerca de la dualidad. Los abuelos y abuelas Mayas nos transmitieron el conocimiento de que la manifestación de esta realidad es dual, pues es en la polaridad que encontramos el balance de la vida. El Ch’umil y el número que rigen sobre este día poseen dentro de sí esta sabiduría y hoy su convergencia nos enseña que las energías opuestas están interconectadas, que siempre hay un poco de una en la otra, pues esto es parte del equilibrio de la vida, de la armonía de la existencia. Hoy podemos acceder con facilidad a las enseñanzas de Ajaw Ajpu, que representa el poder de Jun Ajpu e Xb’alamke, los gemelos míticos que viajaron a Xib’alba al encuentro de la sombra y la luz. En el Pop Wuj se narran las historias de estos prodigiosos gemelos quienes lograron integrarse, alcanzar la liberación y realizarse como seres completos al vencer las pruebas de los señores de Xib’alb’a. Recordemos que Xib’alb’a no es un infierno, es más bien un espacio que permite el equilibrio entre las polaridades y nos impulsa hacia nuestro desarrollo. Este día nos indica que debemos trabajar en nuestra polaridad. 2 Ajpu nos da la fortaleza y la luz que necesitamos para iluminar las partes más inexploradas de nuestro ser, para así poder integrarlas y convertirnos en un todo armónico. Este Ch’umil nos conecta con la sabiduría de Jun Ajpu e Xb’alamke para que obtengamos el conocimiento que nos ayuda superar las pruebas que surgen en nuestro camino y que nos permiten liberarnos y convertirnos en un ser humano completo.
